Mary P. Sheehan, MD

Mary P. Sheehan, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology.  Prior to joining the Department in 2004, Dr. Sheehan worked in private practice dermatology.  In addition to her work in private practice, Dr. Sheehan was the Chief of Pediatric Dermatology at The Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh, and a Consultant Dermatologist at St. Margaret's Hospital and St. Francis Hospital.  

Dr. Sheehan earned her undergraduate and medical degrees, with honors, from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.  She completed an Internal Medicine residency at Mater Hospital in Dublin, Ireland, and went on to do a Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in London, England.  Upon arriving in the United States, Dr. Sheehan completed a Dermatology Residency program at the University of Pittsburgh.  

Dr. Sheehan's clinical focus is general dermatology and pediatric dermatology.
